Hugh Baird College is a large, dynamic Further Education College, in Merseyside, with an ambitious strategic plan. As a College striving to be outstanding in all that it does we have an opportunity within our Vocational Services Directorate, for an individual who is able to contribute to creating an environment that exceeds the expectations of our students, parents and employers.
You will teach on our Outdoor Education programmes from Level 1 to level 3 and be an individual committed to excellence in the classroom. A first degree in Outdoor Education together with a teaching qualification and experience of teaching on outdoor education or sports programmes up to and including level 3 is essential. You should also hold as a minimum the following national body qualifications:
· Summer mountain leader,
· Level 2 Kayaking Coach
· SPA climbing.

The College is situated in metropolitan Borough of Sefton, at the heart of a very busy commercial and regeneration area.
We deliver courses across an extensive range of provisions, from apprenticeships, to T-levels, A-levels, university level courses and adult learning, with dedicated campuses and employment-focused results.

We are also responding to the exciting SuperPort developments right on our doorstep by creating Port Academy Liverpool, which offers port operations courses that allow our learners to forge careers in this exciting, global and well paid sector.

We are continually looking to develop our facilities and this we have opened our new state-of-the-art gym and fitness centre in collaboration with Lifestyle Fitness. The centre is accessible by students and staff as well as being open to members of our local community.
