Job overview

LMC is situated in north Lancashire with convenient access to M6 junction 34 via the Bay Gateway.  The ancient city of Lancaster is full of history and holds regular festivals for the arts, music and literature.  Morecambe Bay is on our doorstep with its stunning views and the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are a short journey away.  With good transport links and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful scenery by bike, on foot or even kite surfing, why not pay us a visit?

We are seeking to appoint a qualified Plumber with expertise in Plumbing, Gas, Heating and Renewable Energies to provide high quality teaching and learning in our state of the art Construction Centre.  No prior teaching experience or qualification is required: we offer a comprehensive in-house training package including teaching qualification, assessor qualification, Gas Safe registration, ACS training and assessment in relevant competencies, G3 hot water Regulations training and assessment (amounting to an ongoing investment of £5000+). We would expect you to have a keen interest in the development of young people entering the profession and be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and teaching potential. In return we offer valued public sector pension scheme membership, generous leave entitlement and opportunities including those outlined for your own career development.   If you require more information or an informal chat about the role, please contact Ryann Williams, Programme Area Manager on 01524 521373.
