Uxbridge College is one of the leading providers of Further Education in West London and we were graded as ‘Outstanding’ at our last Ofsted inspection (2008).

Public Services at Uxbridge College is a highly successful area of provision, producing above benchmark success rates and providing excellent training opportunities for those seeking a career in the Uniformed Public Services. Our students are highly motivated and we create a disciplined learning environment that prepares them for a career in the Police, Armed Services, Fire Brigade or Ambulance Services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional to teach on a range of programmes in the Public Services area, including First and National Diploma. The role will involve leading outdoor and residential activities, and delivering fitness training.

You will need to be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in a relevant subject area, and have work experience in one of the three Armed Services or have worked in the Emergency Services. Some teaching/training experience is also required. You should have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage young people aged 16-19. If you are not a trained teacher, the College will support you to obtain this qualification through the two years of the course.
