Can you really make a positive impact on our learners?  We are recruiting to the position of Lecturer in Sport & Public Services and if your answer to these questions is “yes” we would welcome your application.

The Role

Sports & Public Services is a key growth area for the College and is continually refreshing its’ curriculum plan to meet the needs of its ever changing student population.  The role will teach on our new and existing curriculum Study Programmes Level 1 – 3.

Working within a committed team, delivering learning, developing lesson plans and constantly assessing learners’ outcomes you will contribute positively to the continuing improvement of the College. Along with making a personal impact by tutoring individual students the successful candidates will also be key to ensuring the successful embedding of English and Maths within the curriculum.

The Person

The successful applicant will be experienced educator with a passion for delivering student success and driven to deliver continuous improvement.  You will have a demonstrable track record in delivering innovative and creative teaching and learning and an up to date in depth knowledge of curriculum delivery. 

With QTLS status or working towards it, you will have a relevant degree, a teaching qualification and evidence of CPD.  You will also have:

  • Industrial experience or willingness to obtain.
  • A demonstrable ability to use inspiring teaching methods, produce engaging teaching materials and maintain up-to-date schemes of work.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • A commitment to the ethos of team work.
  • Maths & English qualifications at level 2 or above.

Hours: 36 hours per week
Tenure: Permanent
Salary Scale: £28,032 - £38,631
