Job overview
Are you a dynamic practitioner, who is committed to inspiring the next generation of public service professionals? This is an exciting opportunity to join our teaching team at KGV College and Southport College as a Lecturer in Uniformed Protective Services.
In this role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of our popular BTEC Uniformed Protective Services programmes. Introduced in 2022, the course has quickly become a favourite among local school leavers and currently has full cohorts in both year 1 and year 2.
Along with excellent industry links with local uniformed services including Merseyside Police, Merseyside Fire and Rescue and the RNLI, the programme also offers a wide range of trips, visits and enrichment opportunities. Our students also have access to a dedicated crime scene room and incident room, as well as a sports hall, fitness suite and drill hall.
As a Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching across a variety of programmes from Level 2 through to Level 3 in Uniformed Protective Services, depending on your skills and experience. You will also play a key role in shaping the curriculum and driving improvements, with the potential to influence the future direction of the subject area.
Teaching hours may take place at either of our two college campuses.
About you
