About the role:

We are seeking to recruit an exceptional Lecturer in Woodwork who will teach woodwork/basic construction/art from entry – level 2 to students with global Learning Difficulties. You will act as a Course Tutor and Personal Tutor and take responsibility for the day to day management of courses and teach across a range of courses and be involved in student support. You will liaise with employers and secure work experience placements; monitor placements and assess in the work place. You will promote the curriculum development of existing and new courses, including monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance.

About you:

You will have a teaching qualification at PGCE level, a subject qualification (woodwork/construction) at level 3 or above. You will have successful experience of teaching and tutoring students with learning difficulties in post-16 education. You will have experience of developing employer links and work experience within the field of woodwork and/or basic construction.
