Job overview

We are looking for a qualified professional in hair and media make up to deliver training and assess learners on a variety of hair and media make up qualifications. 

The successful candidate will be actively involved in the planning, delivery and assessment of hair and media make up courses across the Faculty. 

You will have the opportunity to tutor and develop the skills and knowledge of our learners, and in close liaison with the curriculum team, provide excellent assessment opportunities for learners.    

You will be expected to contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of our outstanding Hair, Media make up and Beauty department.    A level 3 qualification in media make up is essential as is relevant industry experience.  Ideally you should also have a track record for delivering high quality curriculum to a variety of learners. 

You should also be used to working in a high pressure environment where standards are exemplary. A positive and approachable attitude is essential as is the ability to assess student work / assignments across a number of levels.  You must also be willing to work some evenings and Saturdays where necessary. 

Applicants must also hold a teaching qualification and have both relevant industry and teaching experience.

Cambridge Regional College is a co-educational further education college located in Cambridge. Providing places to students aged 14 and over, the college has several thousand learners young and old, full and part-time. Cambridge Regional College has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation over the years, and as such can boast of a wide range of modern teaching and recreational facilities, with the most recent major development, which opened in 2011, providing the college with a brand new Low Carbon Centre. The college also plays host to a number of vocational teaching workshops and study areas.
