About the College

Middlesbrough College Sixth Form (MC6) is a purpose built, standalone centre on the Middlehaven Campus of Middlesbrough College. We offer a range of full-time academic programmes covering a wide selection of A levels and our bespoke Mix-It-Up programme for those wanting to combine vocational and academic courses. Our sixth form students make good academic progress, and many go on to study on higher education courses at top universities around the country.

About the role  

We are looking for an inspirational teacher to successfully deliver Philosophy and Ethics (including A level, and other level 3 courses) to our highly motivated and engaged students. This is an exciting opportunity for those who want to focus on teaching in an environment dedicated to academic achievement at Level 3. If you can offer excellent teaching, support and guidance then we'd love to hear from you.

Please note that a Market Rate Supplement could be applicable to this post.


The successful candidate will have:  

To be a qualified Teacher or willing to work towards.

To hold a relevant Degree, or equivalent.

GCSEs at Grade C / Level 4 or above in English and Maths, or equivalent.

Relevant experience of teaching Religious Studies (Philosophy and Ethics) and delivering exam-based qualifications.

Current knowledge of IAG relating to career opportunities in associated areas for post 16 learners and HE progression.

Current knowledge of the Ofsted EIF, and the impact of this on classroom delivery.
