Job overview

This is an opportunity for a SEND tutor to support the development of intervention and SEN teaching at The United Colleges Group (College of North West London). We provide education for students who are unable to access mainstream education for a variety of reasons including, medical, emotional and social needs.

Many of our students experience anxiety or have special education or health needs.   We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN specialist to join our dynamic team. The ability range of students are from Pre-entry – Entry Level 3 with personalised learning targets within the curriculum delivery. The successful candidate should have experience of delivering outstanding and well differentiated lessons to students with a variety of special needs.  The successful candidate will have great interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for motivating and teaching vulnerable young people. They will be positive, energetic, creative and flexible. They will be able to make a positive impact and help model good and outstanding teaching and be able to share positive strategies with the team.

• has excellent classroom practice with SEND students 

• has an understanding of the ever-changing needs of students

• has the ability to challenge, motivate and inspire 

This position offers up to 40 days paid (pro rata) annual leave per year plus public holidays, Occupational pension plan.                                                                                                                                       Closing date: Monday 16th April 2018, 12 noon
