THE LEARNER SUPPORT SERVICE consists of a successful and well established team providing support for learners with a wide range of disabilities, learning difficulties and medical conditions.

We currently have a Lecturer in Specific Learning Difficulties post available:

We are looking for experienced specialist teachers who can demonstrate a person-centred approach and a track record of improving the success rates of learners on mainstream provision who have, for example, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, ASD or Asperger’s Syndrome.
 
You should have experience of teaching 1:1, small groups and whole groups; ideally in the post 16 sector from entry to level 4. You will need a teaching qualification and a recognised specific learning difficulties qualification for teaching and assessing for exam access arrangements. You must have a good working knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2015 and the skills and knowledge to act as one of our Lead Professionals in the EHCP process.
