A special school for pupils aged from 4-19 years within Leicestershire are looking for Teachers who have a range of experience within an SEN environment. Their pupils have a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities including: severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, moderate learning difficulties or autistic spectrum conditions. 

Their vision is to create a safe, fun and supportive environment in order to inspire everyone to learn and develop.

As a school they provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment which makes learning both rewarding and fun. They work with the wider community to make sure their pupils are supported and are able to become valued members of society.

The Role

You will need to be able to remain calm and confident in a challenging environment, whilst being approachable and patient. Communicating clearly and efficiently is of high importance and you must demonstrate a professional manor at all times.

Essential Requirements

A valid QTS or NQT is essential, along with experience working within SEN

References covering the last 2 years, of which one must be school based

Experience teaching the UK curriculum

Eligibility for work within the UK

Own transport is desirable

To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce. You will need to pay for this upfront, but once you are fully registered, have uploaded this onto the Update Service and have worked 1 full day with us then we will reimburse you the cost. At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you. 

We will need to gain academic references to cover the last 12 months, one of which must be a school based reference. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
