We are looking to appoint a Lettings/Premises Assistant to help provide effective management of our school site.


Forge Wood opened in September 2016 and moved to a purpose built premises in September 2017. As we continue to grow, our school needs a Lettings/Premises Assistant to join us. The successful candidate will make an active contribution to the development of the school as a first class environment for learning. This is a casual post, hours based upon an 'as and when required' basis. Please note that hours are likely to increase as the school grows and the applicant needs to be flexible on when they are able to work throughout the week, to meet the needs of the school and external lettings. (This may involve evenings and occasional weekends)


The post holder will work to ensure the security of the school buildings, helping to carry out a programme of maintenance work as directed by the Headteacher. As a key holder, the role will also include security of the school premises including all buildings and contents.


We are looking for somebody who:

  • Is friendly with good communication skills
  • Has good organisational skills
  • Has experience of carrying out basic DIY tasks
  • Is motivated and enthusiastic
  • Is able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Is flexible


The role requires that the successful candidate will:

  • Ensure the school sites and buildings are maintained
  • Implement and ensure security measures and procedures for the site building and facilities.
  • Be a key holder, attend to out of hours call out
  • Implement and promote the school policies and procedures relating to all areas of employment and service delivery.
