Ivel Valley SchoolBiggleswade, Central Bedfordshire

We are the Area Special School for the east of Central Bedfordshire and aim to provide a high quality, calm and caring learning environment, where pupils and staff are encouraged to reach their true potential. The school provides high standards of education for pupils with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities aged 3 – 19. The main school operates on two sites which are within ½ a mile of each other; the school site and the college site. Additionally, we have three satellite classes based on a local mainstream school site.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic teaching assistant. Although previous experience is preferred, we are looking for people with the skills, aptitude and attitude to work effectively with our pupils, all of whom have special educational needs. If you think that you fit the bill and would like to work with our fantastic children and young people please submit an application!

The successful applicant will be appointed to the whole school and you could be required to work on either site or in one of our satellite classes.

The post is a permanent full time contract and is for 35 hours weekly and the hours you will be required to work are 8.30am – 4.00pm on a daily basis.  Part time contracts will be considered for a reduced number of days, however the working hours are fixed.

This is an exciting time to join the school and play a role in our future development. For further details please visit our website at: www.ivelvalley.beds.sch.uk
