The governors of Woodlands School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in their Acorns provision in Oswestry and join a well-established, skilled team of professionals. Acorns caters for Key Stage 2 pupils who present challenging behaviour associated with social, emotional and mental health needs and/or Autism. Acorns provision in Oswestry is co-located with Holy Trinity CEPA and currently caters for up to a maximum of 12 pupils. This post has become available due to the promotion of the current post holder.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and sensitive person who has an empathy for children who present challenging behaviour and want to make a difference to enable them to succeed and thrive in all aspects of their learning. The person appointed will be fully committed to supporting children in all aspects of learning and social development. The challenges of this post are not suited to everyone, however, the rewards can be immense as children learn and grow in a nurturing environment.
