Librarian - C Grade: Brighton, East Sussex

Librarian – Term Time Only, 32.5 hours per week, Level C

We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking School Librarian to join our team as soon as possible to work 5 days per week, from 8.30am-3.30pm, 32.5 hours per week.  This is a Grade C role, LGA Scale 5 £22,183-£24,491 per annum pro rata.  Actual pro rata salary £16,805.87 pa.

Patcham High School is an 11–16 comprehensive school of 1100 students, situated on the northern outskirts of Brighton, very close to the old village of Patcham and within easy reach of the A23 and A27. The school is rapidly improving and is at an exciting stage of change and development.  We are known for our innovative approach and we value professional training very highly. 

We are looking to appoint a Librarian, who is passionate about reading and literacy.  

The successful candidate will work with senior staff and another Librarian to create an exciting environment that promotes reading and literacy for students, staff and visitors.  Ideally candidates will have experience in this field, but this is not essential as training can be provided if required.
