Life Skills Leader

At West Drayton Primary School, we want our children to reach their full potential and have the skills they need to be successful citizens.

Hours: 15 hours per week, term time only
Salary: £6,238 - £6,631 per annum inclusive of Outer London Weighting, Scale 3

In order to achieve this, we want to appoint two life skills leaders who will play a key part in supporting children with their physical, emotional and personal development.

The successful candidates will be cheerful, optimistic, motivated and ready to make a difference. They should have high expectations for what children can achieve and either know our school or have taken the time to find something out about us.

The role of the life skill leader is to:

• To help pupils overcome barriers to learning both in the classroom and outside in the playground;
• Provide opportunities for pupils, particularly vulnerable pupils, to learn and apply our school’s values and skills such as: the ability to compromise, to resolve conflicts, to work together and be able to organize themselves.
