We have a growing reputation in the local community as the preferred Swim School and will support you in obtaining teaching qualifications so you can develop your skills in the aquatics field.

As a key holder, you will ensure the smooth day to day running of the pool, sports hall and other facilities that are hired out on a regular basis. You will supervise the casual lifeguards, acting as their mentor and role model. You should have real attention to detail as you will be ensuring the safety of our young students and customers as well as the cleanliness of the pool environment. You should be conscientious, hardworking and have excellent communication and social skills as you will often be the first point of contact for customers. Health and safety is paramount therefore attendance at regular pool training sessions every month is required for which payment will be given. 

You must have your National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) with up to date NPLQ training records, AED and a First Aid certificate. It is desirable that you also have a Pool Plant Operators qualification or are working towards this, but training will be given.

Our swimming pool is located within Royal Russell School which is a co-educational school with over 1000 pupils between the ages of 3 and 18, situated on a beautiful green campus of 110 acres in the Shirley Hills near Croydon.
