Your target will be to open the world, and the rest of the curriculum, to our students, many of whom have struggled with literacy throughout their school lives. It is highly desirable, but not essential, that you have experience of working with students with SEMH and associated complex learning difficulties, which includes challenging behaviour. It would also be desirable, but not essential, to have a Level 3, or higher, qualification in working with learners with Specific Learning Difficulties or similar.

The school is extremely well supported in its continual drive for excellence through its Governing Body and OHCAT. OHCAT is a national leader in SEND and provides us with the high quality training and support required for all staff to develop their professional skill and ability. The school is committed to CPD across its staff teams.
