WMSF is an over-subscribed, vibrant, inner-city learning community which has the individual student at the heart of everything it does.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to provide literacy support and interventions to our students. This includes identifying students who have difficulty accessing the curriculum due to poor literacy and planning and delivering clear plans for all students accessing the Literacy Provision. You will ensure that strategies and intervention programmes have a significant impact, measuring and reporting on progress.

You will be educated to degree level in English or equivalent with an understanding of essay writing skills up to A level and want to support, guide and advise young people in their pursuit of educational achievement. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills together with a flexible and adaptable approach and be able to deliver projects in an innovative and inspirational way. Ideally you will have experience of working with young people in a multi-cultural environment and be keen to develop your skills.
