Salary: CAN salary scale point 17 - 21 (Actual salary pro-rata £17,161 - £18,799 term time only. £22,447 - £24,590 per annum, FTE).
Working hours: 33 hours per week between 8.00am and 4.00pm, 190 days per year.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Oaks Park High as a literacy-learning mentor and work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff in order to support students’ literacy development.
This is a non-teaching post which will give the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to work closely with young people and supporting them in their school life, helping them to access a varied and exciting curriculum.
For this role, you will work within the SEN team and work with individual students (either within the subject class or separately) to address gaps in their literacy knowledge.
You will be expected to work effectively with both teaching and support staff at all levels as well as with parents/carers, students and external agencies.
Training in school systems and practices will be provided.
