Literacy Mentor (Junior and Senior English Teacher) - Part time, Fixed Term (6 month contract with possibility of ongoing yearly contract - 0.6 - 3 days per week) - St Teresa's Catholic College, Noosaville. We are seeking a suitably qualified Literacy Mentor (experienced Junior and Senior English Teacher) to join our dynamic team for 2019. The successful applicant will become a member of a collaborative and supportive team in delivering excellent learning and teaching to students in Year 7 - 12. The Literacy Mentor will work collaboratively with staff to provide engaging learning experiences for students and demonstrate a commitment to the education and wellbeing of young people, have proven organisational abilities, effective communication skills and be able to actively engage and support students in Years 7-12.

St Teresa's is situated in Noosaville on the Sunshine Coast. We are a co-educational secondary school administered by the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane through the Brisbane Catholic Education Office and is a member of Marist Schools of Australia.  The college has an approximate enrolment of 900 students. Employment Tenure:   Part Time + Fixed Term

Tenure Duration (if "Fixed Term"):  Semester II, 2019 (15.07.19 to 06.12.19)

If Part Time, hours and/or days required: 3 Days per week - to be determined. 0.6FTE (18 hrs per week) for Semester II, 2019 (15 July 2019 to 06 December 2019) with possibility of further 12 month contract for 2020.

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019 


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
