SRS is a BSO approved international school that provides a high quality education, meeting the needs of a diverse range of students. We deliver the British National and American Curriculum to an increasing population of 4,000 plus students from FS to Year 13, leading to GCSE, IGCSE and AS/A2 qualifications.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Literacy Specialist to lead, develop, and support best practices in literacy instruction. This role will involve working closely with teachers, students, and leaders to drive literacy achievement and ensure high-quality literacy teaching across the curriculum.


Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement effective literacy programs aligned with curriculum standards.

- Provide coaching and professional development to teachers on literacy instruction, intervention strategies, and best practices.

- Analyze student data to inform instructional decisions and improve literacy outcomes.

- Support the integration of literacy across all subject areas.

- Collaborate with school leadership to develop literacy initiatives that promote a culture of reading and language proficiency.

- Monitor and evaluate the impact of literacy programs and recommend enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, English, Literacy, or a related field.

- Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

- Minimum 5 years of experience in literacy instruction, coaching, or curriculum development.

- Strong knowledge of phonics, reading strategies, and literacy assessment tools.

- Experience in leading professional development for teachers.

- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
