About the role

To provide support to the pupils, the class teacher, the school and the curriculum.

27.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (9am to 3.30pm /with an hour for lunch) - 39 weeks per year. Permanent role.

Who we are looking for

Good numeracy and literacy skills.

Experience of working with relevant age groups within a learning environment.

Experience of general clerical/ administrative work.

Experience in a relevant discipline

Able to use basic IT including computer, audio, video equipment and photocopier.An understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities.Ability to work well as part of a team.

Good keyboard skills and knowledge of relevant IT packages

Knowledge of relevant policies and codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.

Ability to relate well to children.

Ability to relate well to adults. Ability and willingness to identify own training needs and participate in training.

To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school

Ability to provide necessary personal care to children.
