Smart Teachers is recruiting for LSA / Learning Support Assistants / TA / Teaching Assistants with SEN experience to work in mainstream schools in Hackney.

We work with a number of Primary Schools throughout the borough, who have day-to-day, long term, and permanent requirements. Our schools require skilled LSA / Learning Support Assistants / TA / Teaching Assistants who are flexible in their approach and can work to achieve excellent results within a small amount of time. 

Roles can vary from full time to part time, and can be exclusive or have an element of 1:1 work. 

Positions are available for an immediate start. SEN experience is essential, as you will be working with pupils with special education needs, including but not limited to SEBD, ASD, ADHD, MLD and some physical disabilities.

Supply work enables you to have a work/life balance which may not be possible in a permanent role but which suits you. In order to be considered for this role, the LSA / Learning Support Assistants / TA / Teaching Assistants will need to meet the following criteria:

• Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent  

• Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant

• Experience of SEN – SEBD, ASD, MLD, ADHD etc 

• Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills

• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)

• Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
