A unique Special Needs school with a community feel, hidden away in the borough of Brent, North West London is recruiting through Smart Teachers for an LSA / SEN TA. The successful LSA / SEN TA will start as soon as possible and will be responsible for assisting small ASD classes of 7 students from early years up to KS3. Having just been rebuilt, this aesthetically pleasing school is filled with new resources that support diverse learning. Starting immediately, the LSA / SEN TA will be offered a long term full time role until the end of the academic year, which encourages career progression and development through regular CPD training.

  • Assisting ASD students in all classes from Early Years up to KS3
  • 7 pupils in a class with 3 x Teaching Assistants, 1x HLTA
  • To start as soon as possible, full time position for the academic year

In order to be considered for this role, the LSA / SEN TA will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Have experience working with ASD (essential)
  • Have experience working with SEN (essential)
  • Hold either a minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in either education or childcare (desirable)
  • Have proven experience working within nurseries or schools in a UK-based classroom
  • NQT, experienced UK and/or OS-trained teachers welcome to apply
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
