Job overview

These roles are on a Fixed Term contract to support children with additional needs whilst attending Claycots School.

10 hours per week, 11.30am - 1:30pm, Monday to Friday 

Term time only

We are looking for two Lunchtime Controllers at the Town Hall Campus to ensure the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils with additional needs during the midday break in the dining area and playground. You need to provide support to these pupils, assist with cleanliness of the dining area and engage the children in developmental play.

You will need to closely monitor the safety and well-being of a child/group of children with additional needs and promote their social and emotional skills. 

The ideal candidates will have good interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with matters calmly, swiftly and firmly. They will need to be reliable, punctual and flexible.

Previous experience of working in a school environment and with SEN children would be an advantage for all these roles but is not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate. Knowledge of First Aid and Health and Safety are required.
