Lunchtimes are very busy in school and it is a time for our students to re-charge their batteries and enjoy leisure time with their peers.

Christ the King College and Carisbrooke College are looking for a team of enthusiastic Supervisors who are able to ensure that our students are safe during those unstructured times of the school day. This is an opportunity to work across the two Colleges. It would suit people who live within the vicinity of the two schools and/or who have transport to enable them to move between the sites easily. Carisbrooke College and Christ the King College are located within walking distance of each other along Wellington Road in Carisbrooke.

The role of Lunchtime Supervisor is a casual engagement, paid at £10 per hour.

Sessions are Monday to Friday from 12.20 to 1.20pm at Carisbrooke College and from 1.30pm to 2.30pm at Christ the King College; term time only

To apply for this position, please follow the link to our TES online application process via www.christthekingcollege.co.uk/vacancies. You need to indicate on your application whether you are applying for a position at both Colleges as outlined above, or if this is for Christ the King College or Carisbrooke College only. Your application will then be shared with Carisbrooke College if appropriate. Closing date is midnight on Sunday 23rd February 2020.

The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. These posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicants will be expected to undertake enhanced DBS checks.

Located just off the South Coast of England the Isle of Wight is one the UK's most popular destinations. Steeped in History and Culture the Island is home to approximately 140,000 people and has something for everyone. From superb summer music festivals with world class line-ups to sailing and outdoor sports, as well as some truly stunning beaches and countryside, the Island has it all to offer to individuals and families of any age or interest.

The Isle of Wight also has some of the most competitively priced property in the South of England, for both purchasing and renting.  Southampton and Portsmouth are only a short ferry crossing away and London is approximately 2 hours away by train and ferry.

Christ the King College is the first and only joined 11-18 Church of England and Catholic Secondary College on the Isle of Wight. It has been formed in 2008 by the amalgamation of two highly popular and successful schools and offers a Christian based education for its students. The College draws its students from across the Island and provides a unique opportunity to give children continuity in Christian education.

It is our firm belief that the best education combines high standards of academic achievement with strong moral and spiritual guidance. Education should provide opportunities for every individual child to succeed in a variety of ways, preparing young people for a future in which they can thrive in their chosen career paths in addition to becoming responsible, caring citizens. Furthermore, learning should be fun, students should feel happy and safe and every individual should experience success.

We work hard at Christ the King College to achieve this for our students.  Christ the King College is proud of its ethos, its all-round high standards and its strong emphasis on personal development.  We offer families the opportunity of exceptional education in a strong, Christian context. We believe children deserve the best education possible and values that prepare them for the future. We are committed to providing both.

Christ the King College is a Christian 11-18 secondary school with a cohort of about 1200 students, about 200 of which in the Sixth Form. The College has a track record in achieving high outcomes for its students. Indeed, we believe that Christ the King College is a very special place to be. We are proud of our wonderful students, the dedicated staff and the supportive governors and parents. We have an outstanding vision for our young people.
