We need a Educational Psychologist for our psychology service. We use a consultation model, to assess and recommend interventions for a wide variety of cases. The successful EP will use, and be encouraged to further develop, a range of assessment skills for children and young people, aged 0-25, in different settings. The successful applicants will be given training, regular supervision, performance management and on-going support in of skill development. The EPS will be supporting a redesign of local services to improve young children’s social and emotional development, nutrition, language and communication development and in the multi-disciplinary assessment of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. These will be excellent career development opportunities to add to your CV. The EPS has strong links with the professional training courses in the London area and is involved in an exciting programme of CPD. Support for the PEP through NAPEP- East Region is superb.

The Southend-on-Sea EPS is located as a single team in shared accommodation with easy access to all local settings, professional education, health and care teams and supportive senior managers. The office base, with free parking, is in the centre of Southend where most other services are located for enhanced opportunities for multi-agency working across all layers in the organisation. It is close to restaurants, high street stores and local amenities with superb road, rail and air transport links, pleasant sea views and nearby award-winning parks.
