An exciting opportunity for an professional, creative, and committed Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer has arisen in one of the country’s largest Colleges. This is an opportunity for a dedicated educator to make their mark in an exciting and forward-thinking FE college, and to prove themselves as a dedicated and reliable Teacher. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver outstanding lessons to E3, L1, L2 and L3 students who are studying carpentry and joinery qualifications in the School of Sustainable Construction & Building Services. In addition to experience in the carpentry and joinery industry (curriculum and/or industry), you must be educated at least to a L3 level in Carpentry and Joinery.
We are a leading and long-established Construction & Building Services School that offers high quality courses from Entry L3 up to Level 3 in Construction Craft and Building Services. Additionally, we support local and national employers with short assessment courses such as AM2, AM2s and the 18th Edition. The central focus of our courses is to ensure our students gain the practical skills and expertise that are necessary to forge a path of employment in the Construction and Building Service industries. In order to facilitate this, we have a dedicated team of experienced and outstanding lecturers with an excellent working knowledge of Construction and Building Services.
Further to this, the courses have been designed by staff to provide a creative and supportive environment with a commitment to diversity and inclusion, to help all students reach their fullest potential, both while they are studying with us, and when they leave to embark on their careers.

Opened in 1992 after being formed from a number of colleges in the city we now have 5 locations situated in the heart of Liverpool. Currently the college serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners a year. In 2018 the college achieved a pass rate of 99.6% beating the national average of 97.6% for a-level results. Within this year as well we had a 100% pass rate in modern languages.
However, the college itself is not just facts and figures. The mission statement of provide high quality skills and education by delivering opportunities for growth to all people and business of the Liverpool City region, shows inclusivity and a community understanding. The ease in which to get here helps quite a lot to. Be it driving, buses, trains or even a ferry you are never short of options.
Being that working/living in Liverpool does offer a wide range of experiences to have. Historical buildings like the Bombed out church, Royal court theatre house or even a hidden gem like the Bluecoat School lane which boasts being the oldest building in Liverpool. The Beatles museum is a popular place to explore the band and possible find bits out about them you might not have known. Or if just unwinding and relaxing there are multiple pubs/bars, restaurants, and comedy nights to enjoy.
