Values and Vision

Marsden Heights describes itself as a learning community, and prides itself on allowing its students to reach ambitious goals, be that academically, personally or socially. There is a focus on helping children develop into independent learners to prepare them for future life as responsible citizens, and on giving pupils a healthy combination of challenges and rewards.

The school provides a broad and balanced curriculum. It also makes use of the STAR learning programme, which stands for "solo, team, adventurous and reflective learner", and prepares students for different types of learning.  Marsden Heights believes this kind of creative learning helps students build skills, techniques and disciplines essential for life after, as well as during, school.

Ofsted

“Pupils are well prepared for the responsibilities of life in modern Britain. Cultural cohesion is strong throughout the school. The work with pupils on bullying and online safety is good. The school has reduced the number of pupils excluded for poor behaviours. Strong relationships between staff and leaders create a climate of trust and teamwork.”
