An opportunity has arisen for a talented, skilled, highly ambitious, suitably qualified and experienced Management Accountant to join our effective, multi-disciplinary central finance team, working in a fast paced environment, providing support across the trust.

We are a Yorkshire / Derbyshire cross-sector multi-academy trust, there are eight primary and three secondary academies within the Trust.

The successful candidate will have a pivotal role within the organisation and will have the following:

• The drive and commitment to succeed using your business/accountancy expertise in an education setting

• A formal accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CIPFA or equivalent)

• At least two years post qualification experience (within the last five years)

• Proven track record of preparing monthly accrual based management accounts, contributing to year-end accounts

The Management Accountant, as part of our existing central finance team, will report directly to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO). This key role will involve ensuring the CEO, CFO and Trustees are kept informed of the financial performance of academies in the Trust. The successful candidate will also assist in the budget and forecasting process, presenting to a variety of audience at academy and trust level. 

 The role will be based in the first instance at Swinton Academy site, however, travelling to our other sites on occasions, will be a requirement of the role.
