Gatehouse School, which is part of the Phyllis Wallbank Educational Trust, is a flourishing, non-selective, independent school in the heart of the East End. We are proud of our inclusive and friendly ethos, which sets out to provide the best education possible for children, establishing a modern outlook on primary education while ensuring that it retains the key values on which it was founded.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Marketing & Admissions Manager who will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient admissions processes that support pupil recruitment and for marketing of the school to further enhance and strengthen the School’s reputation, pupil roll and profile.

Reporting to the Headteacher and Bursar, this busy and varied role is pivotal for the day to day running of the School. The successful candidate will be personable with a good sense of humour, and will enjoy engaging with prospective and current families, teaching and non-teaching staff and school governors. They will be a warm and friendly individual who will act as a main point of contact for pupil recruitment and will manage the process from first contact, through to the first day at school. They will have exceptional communication, IT and organisational skills and will be able to demonstrate first class customer service skills.

The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of marketing and communications in an independent educational setting.  They will be able to develop and enhance the school brand, ensuring all communications and marketing activity reflects the school’s key marketing messages, vision and values. They will be adept at producing engaging and distinctive promotional materials and have experience of creating, maintaining and developing digital and social platforms.  Some support will be available from external agencies and the school community where appropriate.

A good understanding of the education sector and in particular independent schools is essential. Knowledge of applications such as PASS or MIS tools would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will benefit from working alongside motivated and experienced colleagues and practitioners, alongside a supportive highly visible SLT team. They will benefit from being part of a professional, supportive staff team as well as a competitive salary package. This is an excellent opportunity to join our highly successful school which was rated as outstanding during our 2021 ISI inspection.

Visits to the school are encouraged and we look forward to welcoming you. Please contact Ms Corinne Diable, the Deputy Bursar, to arrange a visit.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applications should be submitted using the Gatehouse application form provided. Please complete the form and return by post or email to Corinne Diable at deputy.bursar@gatehouseschool.co.uk
