The Fulham College Academy Trust comprises Fulham College Boys’ School, Fulham Cross Girls’ School and the Fulham Enterprise Studio. It is a non-selective converter multi academy trust formed in 2013 serving the local community.

The Boys’ School & Enterprise Studio provides 11-19 year old students with appropriate academic, vocational and mixed pathways and is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, with 450 students currently on roll. The Girls’ School has 620 11-16 year old students on roll and is rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted being in the top 2% of schools in the country for attainment.  The Trust serves the local community in Hammersmith and Fulham and each school is fully inclusive striving to achieve the best outcomes  for all its students, who often have multiple disadvantages.

We have recently decided to combine the various marketing roles and responsibilities into a single post across the schools in the Trust and are looking to recruit to a new post of Marketing Officer.  A background in education is desirable as the successful candidate will use all of their marketing skills and experience to promote the interests of the Trust schools. The role will entail a particular focus on student recruitment at secondary transfer through close liaison with local primary schools and responsibility for the delivery and further development of our transition programme.

The post holder will also be involved in supporting our staff recruitment team and assisting with all manner of external communications with a variety of stakeholders. This will include full responsibility for the website and social media communication at each school.

The successful candidate will need to be adept at working within both the freedoms and compliance requirements of academy status.

Initially based at Fulham College Boys’ School the successful candidate will be expected to report to the Senior Leadership Teams across the Trust.

If you can demonstrate the moral purpose and desire to use your marketing skills to serve the student population of the Fulham College Academy Trust and would welcome the opportunity to use prior experience to develop the role to support the trust in moving forwards then we would welcome an application from you.

We welcome visits from applicants. If you are interested in joining us and wish to discuss the opportunity further before making an application or make an appointment to view the school please contact Tim Scott, Chief Operations Officer on 0207 381 0861.

Applications packs are available on the TES website, via email at personnel@fulhamcollege.net or on the school website at www.fulhamcross.net

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to show they share this commitment; an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service certificate will be requested for the successful candidate in accordance with the relevant legislation.

Closing date: Midday on Friday 22nd June 2018

About Fulham Cross Girls' School

Welcome to Fulham Cross Girls' School An exceptional school for girls' aged 11-16

Fulham Cross Girls’ School is a unique school that encapsulates the very best in education for young women.  A strong inclusive ethos means that all students, regardless of ability, income or faith are welcomed to our school. We celebrate the fact that the students speak 47 languages and the wealth of different cultures and values they bring.

The results that we consistently achieve are life-changing.

We recognise that our students’ best route into a successful, rich and interesting future is through education. All our staff are relentless in the pursuit of these goals, resulting in excellent GCSE results. Yet we are as far from an exam results factory as it is possible to be. Students are proud of our school and each other, students enjoy their learning very much and several commented… that they ‘love this school’. ‘Students are adamant that bullying and racism is rare and is dealt with effectively’ and another favourite: ‘A student in Year 9 wrote in her questionnaire: ‘Ours is a multicultural school.  Our school accepts everyone…  from any religion and culture’. ‘Students work harmoniously together in lessons. Relationships between staff and students are extremely positive. The atmosphere in lessons is calm, supportive and reflective.’

The love of the school isn’t limited to the students either.  In the staff questionnaire, 100% of the staff said they are proud to be a member of this school.  The parents also agree with praise including the ‘caring school and dedicated staff’. Staff turnover is low.

We believe that we have a duty to develop young women with a desire to make the world a better place and to fight for equality wherever they see inequality which is why we tie everything to our EMPOWER charter. Our strapline is ‘Empowering Tomorrow’s Women’ and we take this very seriously indeed.  For example, our Tuesday morning EMPOWER breakfasts when female captains of industry come to discuss their career path over a croissant with the students.   Or the much coveted EMPOWER badge that can only be awarded to students for truly exceptional acts for those who do the right thing when no one is looking. Or our EMPOWER days which involve all of our students getting out and about or hosting visitors in school. Over their time with us our students take part in 30 inspiring days to enhance their curriculum, their learning and their relationships with the staff and each other.

Our exam results are enough to make us an amazing school, but there is so much more to FCGS than a set of brilliant results.  FCGS is a school with a unique environment, where everyone is valued equally and where girls are able to flourish in a supportive environment that celebrates the power of a united school standing together for what we believe in.
