Redbridge Institute provides a wide range of community learning and skills opportunities for adult learners.

We are looking for an excellent communicator and innovator with outstanding organisation skills able to deliver information with energy and impact. You will be actively involved in the development of our planned new website and take a lead on developing and building an ambitious structured marketing campaign, making full use of social media. Working proactively with senior managers to maximise engagement with the local community and promotion of learner achievement, you will ensure all campaigns and activities are effectively coordinated and evaluated.

You will be a team player, adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment.

This post is part time – 18 hours x 52 weeks. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required to support events and outreach activity. Maximum salary £24,267 pro rata (£11,142 - £12,133 for this post).

Redbridge Institute of Adult Education is the main provider of adult and community learning in the London Borough of Redbridge. Redbridge Institute is part of the Culture, Sport and Community Learning Service Area of the Borough and shares a Senior Manager with the Library Service. The Borough operates a scheme of delegation with Redbridge Institute to govern, manage and deliver its adult and community learning provision.

Redbridge Institute provides over 1,000 courses for adults . Well over 7,000 learners take a range of vocational as well as personal development courses and we have thriving family learning and neighbourhood learning programmes.

Our main site, the Gearies Centre, is a five minute walk from Gants Hill tube station on the Central Line and is also well served by buses from Ilford town centre and other key residential and shopping areas in the Borough. Programmes are run at over 60 venues across the Borough with a choice of day, evening or Saturday study.
