Here at South Thames College, we are looking for a Marketing Manager to co-ordinate all marketing, promotional and publicity activities geared towards meeting the Group’s strategic objectives.


The Marketing Manager will promote the Colleges in the media and the press and co-ordinate the production and placing of advertisements to agreed briefs and budgets. You will be responsible for the production of College publicity and promotional materials, preparing press releases and handling press and media enquiries. You will coordinate the arrangements and staff involved in attending publicity events and other external exhibitions and co-ordinate Federation events such as open days, celebrations of success, VIP visits, student awards and lunch events.


We’re looking for an individual who has experience of planning, implementing and evaluating marketing and communications activities for a large, customer focused organisation and who has knowledge and experience of Digital Marketing techniques. We’d also like you to have knowledge and experience of using a tailored marketing mix to meet marketing objectives and of delivering marketing projects in a timely and efficient fashion.


With a high standard of both written and oral communication skills, you will be able to work effectively under pressure and prioritise duties for self and staff team to produce high quality work and meet deadlines. You will have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, be able to influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders and be able to successfully manage agency relationships to get the best out of partners.


A Degree and/or professional Marketing or PR qualification would be a distinct advantage, as would experience of managing and leading a team.


The post holder will be required to work across all four colleges in the Group.


Fractional applications welcome based on 52 weeks per annum.
