Colston’s is a thriving co-educational day school on the outskirts of Bristol. The Upper School occupies a glorious thirty acre campus and has all of its facilities on-site. We are easily accessible from the motorway network and with approximately 750 students aged from 3 to 18. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to assist with the delivery of the school’s marketing and communications strategy.

Reporting to the Director of External Communications, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day to day marketing initiatives which support the recruitment and communications objectives of the school.   This new, varied and interesting role will assist with the development and implementation of an annual marketing plan, lead the development of social media content and channels, manage the design and printing of promotional literature and the content of the school’s website.

The successful candidate will be an experienced marketer with the ability to create and support the delivery of marketing campaigns to ensure that the school’s vision, ethos and brand is conveyed consistently and effectively to internal and external audiences.

The hours for this position will normally be 30 hours per week from 9am-3.30pm, from Monday to Friday during all of school term time (normally 35 weeks) plus 4 weeks though some flexibility is required for evening or weekend events for which time off in lieu will be given. There is some flexibility with these start and finish times depending on business requirements.

The full time equivalent salary will be on the NJC Scale between points 31 and 33, being £28,211 and £29,909 FTE dependant on qualifications and experience. The actual salary range for working part-time, 30 hours per week for all of school term time (normally 35 weeks) plus 4 weeks during school holidays will be between £19,387 and £20,554 per annum (FTE salary x 30/37.5 hours per week x 44.67/52 weeks per year (39 working weeks plus 5.7 weeks paid holiday)).

Pro-rata paid holiday entitlement is 5.67 weeks each year including bank/public holidays. Other benefits include School lunch during term time and free parking on site, staff remission on School tuition fees in accordance with the staff remission policy and a defined contribution pension scheme.
