Marketing Manager

Cranmer Education TrustOldham

This is a brand-new role within an established, successful and growing education Trust. The Marketing Manager will provide professional marketing and communication services, initially focussing on the Trust’s new secondary school, the Brian Clarke Church of England Academy, which is due to open in 2022, and the Teaching School Hub for Oldham and Tameside which is opening in September 2021. The role is pivotal to the Trust’s growth, through pupil and student recruitment, and marketing the identity of the Trust and the manifestation of the vision values, reputation and ethos.

This is an excellent opportunity to design, implement and develop wider Trust marketing, communications and social media strategies.  It is a standalone role reporting to the Director of Operations and will involve working across the Trust with the strategic leadership and the executive teams.

We are looking for a self-motivated, personable and experienced colleague. You do not need to have worked in education, but you will probably want to when you read more about our mission. What is important is the ability to work with many people professionally, to be able to explain what good marketing and communications looks like and how to deliver it. You will be someone who can empower colleagues within our organisation to deliver excellent content for social media, websites and other communications. You will bring flare and media savviness to our teams and be an expert at modelling how things need to be done and demonstrating the vision to others, enabling them.

We offer:

• The opportunity to work with purpose within an enthusiastic, hardworking and supportive team in North East Manchester

• a Trust committed to ‘success for all’,

• to be part of the Trust’s wider Executive Leadership Team with the CEO, the Finance Director and Operations Director, the Finance, HR and IT Leads,

• excellent opportunities to develop professionally and grow into the role,

• great terms and conditions of employment and access to Local Government Pension Scheme.

The Cranmer Trust is a growing community of multi faith, multi-talented schools across North East Manchester. St Anne’s Academy joined the Trust in March 2021 and we are looking forward to opening the Teaching School hub in September 2021 and the Brian Clarke Academy in September 2022.  The Trust is led by The Blue Coat School – a nationally recognised outstanding secondary and National Teaching School, and also consists of Mayfield Primary School and St George’s Primary School which are Ofsted ‘good’ schools. The Trust will ensure that our schools continue to flourish and improve and provide enhanced opportunities for pupils and staff.

We work collaboratively, share good practice and have a Trust-wide approach to development. All schools are partners in Manchester Nexus, our SCITT. All schools bring their expertise to share. We need to make sure we have the right people in the right place doing the job that is needed to build excellent provision for our children and young people. Staff are supported and developed professionally to make sure they can do that and are valued and recognised for their work.

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service.

The Cranmer Education Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
