Giggleswick School is seeking to appoint an energetic and creative Marketing Officer to join our External Relations team. This is a full time, maternity cover position commencing in June for a period of 6 to 12 months.  

The main purpose of this role is to raise profile and awareness of the School (Junior School, Senior School and Summer Schools) and maximise all recruitment opportunities in our local, regional and national markets.   

Key responsibilities will include organising well targeted, high impact marketing campaigns to raise profile, awareness and generate enquiries for the School. You will also be expected to coordinate a regular programme of communications to effectively engage with prospective parents, pupils, schools, the local community and media.  

Other responsibilities include coordinating an annual calendar of recruitment events (Open Mornings and Taster Events), managing an ongoing schools liaison programme and preparing content for both online and offline marketing materials, newsletters and press releases.  

The successful candidate will have worked in a similar role previously and will have experience of working in a marketing, communications or PR team. It is essential that you have strong copywriting, editing and presentation skills, including the ability to tailor content and format to different audience needs. You will also have an interest and experience in managing events and you will be a strong communicator, who can plan, prioritise and work with minimal supervision. You will hold or be working towards a marketing or PR qualification.
