About the role

Reporting to the Manager: Marketing, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, creating and executing creative marketing campaigns across multiple media platforms to help increase SCS’s brand awareness.

Major Accountabilities 

The Marketing Specialist is required to perform tasks that include but are not limited to;

  • supporting the marketing manager in the delivery of effective marketing programs across SCS
  • developing and executing digital marketing plans that meet the objectives for system and school campaigns
  • analysing, reporting and providing recommendations on campaign results and measuring effectiveness
  • developing content for the publication of marketing material and overseeing implementation  
  • developing growth strategies to market individual schools with support from system directorates
  • developing effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • analysing and synthesising key internal and external information that delivers insight on competitor data, demographic data, and SCS census data and opportunities for growth
  • providing advice and recommendations to the marketing team and Manager that increase enrolment numbers for targeted schools and enhance the school’s reputation in the community
  • collaborating with marketing team members to upskill all staff on contemporary marketing practices and strategies
  • developing marketing dashboards allowing each school to track its progress towards achieving enrolment targets
  • contributing to the enhancement of the SCS brand by utilising a strategic approach to system marketing and promotion
  • creating effective marketing tool kits that enhance the capacity of internal stakeholders
  • providing specialist assistance to other system marketing projects as required
  • promoting and implementing Sydney Catholic Schools’ mission and vision To know and love Christ through learning and Thriving Catholic communities through excellent teaching and learning
  • promoting and abiding by Sydney Catholic Schools’ values of empathy, curiosity, excellence, collaboration and truth
  • any other duties as directed from time to time.

The Person

To be successful in this position, you must possess:

  • degree qualifications in Marketing or Communications 
  • minimum four years experience working in Marketing
  • demonstrated ability to develop successful campaigns and achieve set goals
  • sound understanding of strategic marketing principles
  • experienced in applying the core principles of strategic marketing within a defined context
  • demonstrated capacity to create, implement and review context-based marketing plans that deliver quality outcomes
  • demonstrated ability to gather, interpret and use data to inform decisions about marketing strategies
  • demonstrated understanding of a wide range of marketing platforms, including digital marketing
  • demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • demonstrated highly organised, flexible, resourceful and service-orientated
  • demonstrated strong IT skills with a particular focus on Microsoft and Google applications
  • demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team to set deadlines and timeframes
  • proven ability to apply creative thinking in a process-orientated environment
  • demonstrated ability to work with a range of stakeholders, including school principals, media buying agencies, and SCS staff in a highly collaborative way
  • demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks
  • demonstrated high-level time management skills, which includes the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • a current driver’s licence
  • willingness to respect, support and uphold the mission, ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of Sydney Catholic Schools.

Base salary of $111,014 per annum + 10.5% superannuation with salary packaging option.
