Maternity cover required in an up and coming primary school in North Derby, the school are looking for someone who can cover between 3 and 5 days per week in a year 5 class. I am looking for a class teacher who is able to demonstrate a solid background of behaviour management and able to strike up a good rapport with their pupils relatively fast. 

The school itself is looking to attain its ‘good’ Ofsted report and will rely on the strong leadership team that have recently been appointed and are the driving force behind its recent turnaround in results and reputation. As a 3 form entry school a lot of help is available to ensure any new member of staff can fulfil their duties, including a number of HLTAs and other special needs support staff. Anyone chosen to fill this role will be given adequate PPA time each week to plan lessons as well as complete some marking, it will be expected of you to attend staff meetings and potentially parents evenings if they arise during your time at the school

As with most long term supply roles this role is only advertised to last from September to November; however most schools either extend the contract or offer a successful candidate a different role within the school.
