Located 19km to the West of the city, on the outskirts of the town of Sanlucar la Mayor. St George School Seville delivers a broad and balanced British education and is accredited by Cambridge International Examinations, Edexcel International Examinations and NABSS.

The school is looking for a committed professional who wishes to work in a multicultural environment and believes in delivering a holistic, caring, enjoyable, yet academically productive educational experience for young people. As we are now part of the prestigious International Schools Group we are entering a new exciting phase of our development.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a teaching qualification and relevant degree recognized by UK schools
  • Have relevant experience working in a UK or international school which followed the National Curriculum of England and Wales
  • Be a fluent English speaker
  • Have experience teaching Mathematics to pupils in Key Stage 3 and 4, and ICT to pupils in KS3.
  • Have experience of working with pupils for whom English is not their first language
  • Be motivated towards and enthusiastic about contributing to the further development of the school.

As an international school, we expect all of our staff to commit to the wider community of the school, through our after-school programme, events and activities that take place throughout the year. A commitment to educating the whole child, emphasis on high levels of pastoral care and an inclusive approach to education will be of the utmost importance as we make the final appointment. As our students come to us from a range of different backgrounds and with varying needs, an interest in raising attainment across all ability levels is very important. Candidates will also need to demonstrate evidence of being a strong team player as well as the ability to adapt quickly to new situations, with a flexible approach to problem solving.

If you are committed to child-centred education, with a deep rooted desire to help every child reach their potential, and are interested in helping shape the future development of an international school we would be delighted to hear from you. At International School Andalucia, amazing learning is a life-long journey where we are challenged to get better every day!

International School Andalucía was founded in 2009 in Espartinas, Seville. Through the years the school has expanded rapidly.  Indeed, the original site proved too small and eventually the school was moved to the actual site in Sanlucar la Mayor, Seville in 2010 with a current roll of nearly 300 pupils, 3 through 18 years of age. Approximately 80% of the student body are from Spain and 20% from over 30 nationalities.

At INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL ANDALUCÍA we believe in the transformative power of education. We are a British school, offering our students a holistic education and bilingual development, as our language of communication is English. We work together with an attitude and a growth mindset based on our values: respect,  kindness, fairness, responsibility and personal best.

For us, each student should be valued as an individual and we are proud to be part of each student’s journey. We are committed to preparing them to go out into the world with positivity, purpose and confidence, along with all the academic, social and problem-solving skills necessary for future success.

In June 2018, International School Andalucía became a member of the International Schools Partnership (ISP) – a like-minded group of schools committed to driving high standards of teaching and learning and to always ‘getting better’. ISA’s new partnership with ISP has come at an exciting time, and with it renewed investment in our facilities.

The school offers a British curriculum foundation with older students sitting examinations at I/GCSE and A-Level in a wide variety of disciplines, allowing our students to be able to go to Universities in Spain and indeed in any country around the world.  ISA pupils have gone on to study in several different countries and the school is promoting strong connections with the growing list of alumni.

We offer a fully integrated PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) Programme throughout the school from Reception to Year 13. Pupils are taught the importance of acceptance, teamwork and sharing whilst learning to recognise their  personal traits and the impact they may have on others.

We believe in the importance of Student Voice! The Year 6 Buddy, The Student Council and House Captains are channels designed to give children further responsibility and school wide recognition for their kindness and maturity in taking on important social roles in the school.

ISA is a Member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS), and is a certified examination centre for Cambridge, EDEXCEL, and ESOL Examinations.

The school promotes a balanced whole-child education, with strong sports and arts programs as well as service-learning opportunities.  Students are supported in addition to their core subject teachers by Student Support services including a school first -aid practitioner, EAL faculty, Learning Support and Pastoral Care faculty.

We strive to:

  • Stimulate our students´ ethical awareness, intellectual curiosity, creativity and desire to participate
  • Encourage our students to be sociable citizens, honouring their obligations, the rules and the environment they find themselves in, whilst showing respect for the rights of others
  • Encourage our students to be actively concerned for others, social issues, the environment and to fight against discrimination.
  • Offer our students care and supervision whilst being in regular contact with their families or legal guardians
  • Instill the correct use of language among our students
  • Teach our students positive hygiene, eating and health habits, whilst teaching them how to cope with the challenges of the modern world.
  • Contribute to society with topical research and participation in events and activities, which supports our students´ social development.
