Mathematics Teacher

An enthusiastic, well-qualified mathematics specialist to teach at all levels within a dynamic, energetic department which was rated outstanding by OFSTED in 2010 and thrives on continual development of its teaching and learning processes. Examination results are excellent and the subject enjoys a high status within the school. Currently 315 pupils study Mathematics in the sixth form of whom 85 also study Further Mathematics. The school has a newly built dedicated STEM block.  Applications are welcome from experienced or newly-qualified teachers.  For candidates with PGCE credits, we are able to support the completion of an MA. Accommodation at a very competitive rate may be available.  Our admissions policy prioritises children of staff.

Watford Grammar School for Boys is an academy with over 1400 students, including over 400 in the sixth form. From its origins as a charity school for 60 pupils founded by Dame Elizabeth Fuller in 1704, the boys’ school moved to its present site in 1912 and became an Academy in 2010. Located next to the centre of Watford, near Cassiobury Park, it comprises of a Grade II listed building, The Clarendon Muse, The James Theatre, a dedicated STEM Centre and extensive sports facilities.
