Job overview

Southbank International School is one of the leading and longest established IB schools in the UK. Its reputation for excellence and its central London locations attract a wide range of students from across the world. In addition, we aim to attract the best teaching and administrative staff, to maintain and build upon our successful reputation as a centre for excellent teaching and learning with a commitment to student wellbeing.

We seek a dynamic, well-qualified, and committed teacher of International Baccalaureate (IB) to teach both Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. Experience of teaching a DP Higher Level mathematics course is essential. Experience of teaching Mathematics: Analysis and approaches HL and MYP Mathematics would be an asset. Of prime importance is a passion for mathematics and the energy and knowledge to foster the same passion in students.

Our Mathematics Faculty inspires our students through enthusiasm for our subject and for the process of learning. Each of us gets to know our students well, as a result of small class sizes and strives to use that knowledge to spark their interest and drive their achievement.

With a liberal ethos, an emphasis on academic rigour and a commitment to the values of the IB, Southbank offers the opportunity to further extend your teaching and learning skills in a friendly, supportive but hard-working team. We expect all staff to have high aspirations and expectations of themselves and our students. For the successful candidate, you will have an opportunity to join our friendly and enthusiastic school team and in return, we offer a high-quality professional development programme which is personalised to individual needs.

All our teachers offer a termly extra-curricular activity which should motivate, excite and interest children.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers who have worked in either the independent or state sector and/or internationally.

We will only consider applicants who have the right to work in the UK.
