Al Zahra College is an IB World School, authorised to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).

The College presently caters for all students from diverse backgrounds within an Islamic framework that guides students to become more knowledgeable, faithful, caring and inquisitive.

The College motto ‘Faith, Knowledge, Wisdom’ promotes, in all the student's endeavours, excellence and quality in learning in all areas of the curriculum.

The overall school program of Al Zahra College also meets the standards set out by the NESA in all Key Learning Areas. In addition, Arabic language, Islamic and Quranic studies are offered to students.

The inclusion of our ethos and values in the school teaching program seeks to give all students an opportunity to cooperate and work together in a harmonious environment, and to understand and appreciate the common ideals of internationalism in a spirit of tolerance and understanding.

Al Zahra College seeks to provide an educational environment in which each student may develop an understanding and respect for his or her own cultural background and take pride in whom they are. Consequently, the ability for the child to respect other cultures is strengthened.

Al Zahra College aspires to add positively to the cultural diversity of multicultural Australia and prepare students for effective participation, as Australian citizens, in the wider global community.

With our focus on IB programs it is preferable if interested staff have had recent PYP/MYP/DP experience or be committed to its standards and practices.
