Introduction

Kang Chiao International School East China Campus (KCISEC) is an authorized IB World School to implement the Diploma Programme (DP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP). It is a subsidiary of Kang Chiao Bilingual School (founded in 2002) and is a private, co-educational school with boarding facilities. KCISEC is located in the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, China. It neighbours west Shanghai and is less than 15 minutes’ taxi drive to the Shanghai metro.

KCISEC IB teachers must embody the spirit of both the IB and the inclusiveness that underlies the school’s vision and mission. As role models of the IB Learner Profile, they must exhibit the skills required to work in collaborative planning teams and the flexibility to undertake teaching more in more than one grade level or offer teaching abilities in multiple subjects.

We view our IB programmes to be always developing and are currently recruiting for competent practitioners with experience in the IB who have the knowledge and understanding to help us continue with the direction of our already successful programmes. In particular, we are seeking people who have experience with the MYP Projects and the DP Core. Overall we are looking for experienced and highly-motivated IB practitioners who along with the appropriate tertiary qualifications to teach IBDP and also the MYP in 8 subject areas. 

• Requirements

Licensed teacher under 55

Be proficient in English

Bachelor’s degree or above

Minimum 2 years of working experience in schools. Interested candidates with international education/ IB experience, certification and/or a master's degree in Education are strongly preferred

Flexibility to undertake more than one subject area and/or grade level

Must be open to new ideas in teaching
