Wychwood School sets a high academic standard for its pupils. Admission for prospective pupils involves an entrance test, with entrants into the school sixth form being required to take examinations in whichever A Levels they are looking to study. As well as its high-quality curriculum, Wychwood takes great pride in the personal and spiritual development of its pupils, and to this end offers a range of extra-curricular activities, including numerous international field trips, performing arts opportunities and sports. “The teaching methods used are devised to enable good progress for pupils by encouraging them to develop skills and understanding, and acquire new knowledge. Time is managed effectively. Teaching is characterised by well-planned lessons that take into account individual needs and prior attainment, including for those with SEND, English as an additional language (EAL) and the more able pupils.”
