Mathematics Teacher - part time/full time

We are looking for an enthusiastic mathematics teacher to join our growing and friendly team.  The candidate must be able to teach up to the age of 16 years old - equivalent to GCSE level.  Teaching to a higher level would be a bonus.

Part-time positions are available.

The candidate must have their own Visa.

About Us

Kip McGrath Education Centres are a  group with over 550 centres worldwide.  There are two centres based in Abu Dhabi, in the Raha Beach area and the Mushrif areas.  We specialise in English and mathematics only and our students come from a range of educational backgrounds.

Our sessions have a maximum limit of 6 students - allowing them to make real progress.  Teachers are fully trained using our proven methods but we want our teachers to add their own creativity, resources and personality when teaching our students.

There are no books to mark outside of working hours and preparation time is factored into the 6.5 hour teaching evening (2pm till 8.30pm).  There are also absolutely no behaviour issues at all with our students - they come to the centre out of choice and want to learn!  Our students make incredible progress with us and it is extremely rewarding to see the results over a period of time.

Our current teachers enjoy good quality resources, friendly students, a small team and a relaxed lifestyle.  They enjoy teaching again!  The hours of teaching would be after school and one weekend day.  Total of five days per week.

Our teachers must also have a good relationship with the parents of the students, providing brief but consistent constructive feedback, allowing them to understand and acknowledge the progress their child is making.

We are looking for a friendly, approachable, flexible teacher who can work alongside our amazing body of staff.  We are very proud of our excellent reputation in the beautiful city of Abu Dhabi and are looking to maintain these high standards.

The successful candidate will: 

• Be a qualified teacher with a certificate from UK/USA/CAN/IRE/AUS/NZ/SA.  Suitable for both experienced teachers and NQTs 
• Have expert knowledge in their subject 
• Have qualities of a team player 
• Have the willingness to learn new strategies and to contribute to the development of the team 
• Have a drive and passion to see students achieve 
• Must have their own VISA
