Job overview

We are opening our third School in Crawley in January 2023 and are seeking a Maths teacher to join our new team and be part of an amazing school community.

At Serenity School group, we are dedicated to meeting the academic, therapeutic, and vocational needs of our students. Our mission is to create, adapt, and implement functional curricula necessary to meet the diverse individual needs of our student population and increase current and future independence

You will have:

Minimum of two years solid teaching experience in Mathematics.

·        Experience of working with students with SEND in small groups.

·        A sound knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum and a wide range of qualifications

·        Familiarity with Standardised Attainment Tests

·        Understanding of and commitment to the school policies, in particular:

·        Participation and implementation of the School Behaviour Policy

·        Awareness of Health and Safety implementation in the work place

·        Implementation of the school Equal Opportunities Policy

·        Knowledge of effective strategies to include, and meet the needs of, all pupils in particular underachieving groups of pupils.

Serenity School is an Integrated Therapeutic Learning Centre, which provides a high level of education, therapeutic support, and care. Each school caters for up to 200 pupils and serves the need of Southeast England and its local boroughs. 

You will bring real passion for what you do, coupled with an understanding of the potential challenges that surround working alongside children with ASD and related SEND. This will ensure you aspire to deliver the best outcomes for our young people. In doing so, working together to maintain a consistently good offer in your classroom and beyond. 

It is very important that all applicants acknowledge that this role requires a formal teaching qualification that is recognised in the UK.
