McAuley College is seeking a qualified and experienced Mathematics teacher to commence in January 2020. The position is a full time, continuing role. The successful applicant will be required to teach Mathematics across Years 7 to 10, as well as assist in the planning for Senior Schooling offerings in 2021. An ability to teach Science and Religion would be desirable. Accreditation to teach Religion in a Catholic School is a distinct advantage. Teachers should have a capacity to integrate technology as a tool to enhance student learning and embed whole school literacy and numeracy expected and effective teaching strategies. Successful applicants will be required complete online mandatory training as required.

McAuley College is a Brisbane Catholic Education master-planned secondary co-educational College situated in Beaudesert in the heart of the Scenic Rim.  McAuley College opened with Year 7 in 2017 and will expand each year until our first Year 12 students graduate in 2022.  The College has a vision for learning that is contemporary and innovative, whilst also encouraging our students to be life-giving through an active social justice program and appreciation of their ecological footprint. To be successful in this role you will:
 

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
