Job overview

We are seeking a part-time Maths Circle Mentor to join our MESME (Mathematics Education for Social Mobility and Excellence) Widening Participation & Outreach Mathematics Programme. The Maths Circles support students from all backgrounds to achieve mathematical excellence so that they feel more confident as mathematicians and go on to have a greater range of future personal and employment choices.

You will be responsible for providing mentoring for KS3 students and actively engaging in training and development. You will reflect and report on the progress made by mentees. You will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and maintain the confidentiality of staff and student information. We are looking for someone flexible and with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a positive attitude and plenty of enthusiasm.

This is a temporary, part-time post for a maximum of 30 weeks, 2.5 hours per week.
